Coaching for you

Should the next job look like the last one?

For mid-career professionals and leaders, with 20 or more years of work behind them.

Does this sound like you?

  • A layoff, a probable exit or a plateau has put the question on the table.
  • You are qualified for more of the same and not sure you want it.
  • You are coming off a hard chapter and want your footing back.
  • You worry your age counts against you. Your resume lists 25 years of jobs, not the work you want next.
  • You are thinking it through alone.
For one person, Team><Market Fit means finding the team where the way you work is what the work needs. When you land there, that team gets stronger too.

What I bring

  • I know how hiring decisions get made. I spent 25 years hiring leaders and running talent teams. I know how experienced candidates are read, and how to be read well.
  • Experience is the asset. We work out which parts of 20-plus years to keep, which to leave and which to test.
  • We start with how you work. The Kolbe A Index shows how you naturally take action.
  • A hard chapter can be closed. We name what happened, take the pattern from it and build a filter for the next role.
  • No stake in which job you take. A recruiter is paid on the close. I am not.

With five peers, or one-on-one.

Six sharp people. One honest question. A circle that lasts.

You’ll get a good coach. You’ll also get five people you’ll want in your corner for the next twenty years. We meet in person at the Grant House on Officers Row in Vancouver, Washington.

  • Where you stand. Your Unfair Advantage, North Star and Superpowers. Keep, leave, test.
  • How you work. Your Kolbe A results, side by side with five other people.
  • Roles worth testing. Start from what a role must deliver and work back. Set your tests.
  • The practical (Saturday half day). Resume, LinkedIn, your story and interviewing basics.
  • Decide. What your tests showed, and a 90-day plan.

What you leave with

  • A decision you can defend, or the next test worth running.
  • A resume and a story that point forward.
  • Five people in your corner, and a circle that keeps meeting.
  • Intro session: Tuesday, January 12, 2027. Free, 90 minutes, 12 seats, in person, by invitation. Ask me for a seat.
  • Cohort 1: starts Tuesday, February 2, 2027, and meets every second Tuesday through April 13. Session times: TBD

Some people finish the cohort with everything they need. Others keep working one-on-one, in The Decision or The Transition.

One career decision. Six sessions. An answer you can defend.

You are holding an offer, facing a probable exit, or asking whether the next job should look like the last one. You have a real decision in front of you and nobody neutral to think it through with. Your boss is conflicted. Your family is invested. A recruiter is paid when you say yes.

  • The real decision. We name what you are actually deciding, and what you want to keep, leave and test.
  • How you work. Your Kolbe A Index result and what it means for fit.
  • The roles on the table. We start from what each role has to deliver and work back to whether it fits you.
  • Decide. We compare the real options side by side and you make the call.

What you leave with: your Kolbe A result interpreted for the choice in front of you, a written read on each role you are considering, and a decision with the reasons for it in your own words.

The job ended, or it is about to. You are not sure you want the same job again.

For leaders in the middle of a move: let go, about to be, passed over, acquired out of a role, or successful and done with it. You have real options ahead. You want to choose the next chapter, not fall into it.

  • Where you are. Close the last chapter. Sort what to keep, what to leave and what to test. Read your Kolbe A Index result for fit.
  • Roles worth testing. Build a short list of role ideas and test each one against the market.
  • Positioning. Your resume, your story and your market strategy, built from the hiring side of the desk.
  • Network and decision. Who to talk to, what to ask, and how to compare real options when they arrive.

What you leave with: a tested short list of roles, a resume and a story that point at the work you want next, a network plan you have already started working, and a decision you can defend. The Transition is often paid from severance or an employer’s transition budget. When an employer pays, the employer sees the invoice and nothing else.

Who this is not for

  • Anyone early in their career.
  • Anyone who mainly needs a job this month. This is about choosing well, not moving fast.
  • Anyone who needs clinical support. I coach professional recovery. I am not a therapist, and I will help with a referral if that is what is needed.

What I will not promise

I will not promise a new job or a raise. This is coaching, not job placement. I will promise that you leave with a decision you can defend.
